TEACH and CARE: How Community-Centered Archival Practice May Transform Education, Archives, and Community History

In this paper, I connect my background as an ethnic studies-trained scholar with my archival stewardship experience to provide context for why I care and strive to transform education, archives, and community history. This background is necessary to situate the development of a distinct CARE approach for archival work. This approach is both specific and general in that it draws from a distinctive community-initiated archival collection based in an academic library but can be applied to libraries and archives of any scale.
