Serene Wolfden is pursuing MSIM and MLIS master’s degrees in archives and digital curation at the University of Washington. Their work centers on community archives, museum projects focused on cultural memory, and digital archives. Serene has done archival work, preservation, and translation for the Smithsonian Institution department of Folklife and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. 

As a FOCAS Community Archives Fellow with the Densho Project in Seattle, they contribute to preservation, digitization, metadata creation, and oral history documentation. Through this work, Serene is honored to be able to contribute to expanding public access to these vital historical records and stories.
