Gabriella (Gabby) M. Shriner (she/they) is a PhD Candidate at the College of Information Science with a minor in Communication Studies at the University of Arizona. They hold an MLIS from Rutgers University (NJ), and have over five years of experience working in public libraries. Her research examines the many intersections between the hybrid nature of in-person and online craft communities in Tucson, Arizona, particularly how fiber artists navigate and communicate their identities in those spaces. They recently completed and defended their dissertation proposal, titled: “Hybrid, Intersectional and Liminal: Fiber Arts Communities and the Crafters Knitting Them Together (k2tog).”
