Elise is an MLIS graduate student at the University of Arizona. Her main focus is family and community archiving. She is interested in how spaces can be used for community building and education, and in the international reach of local initiatives. While interning with the Mexican American History and Heritage Museum, Elise has transcribed recordings for the South Tucson Oral History project and worked on creating metadata. She also assisted in setting up exhibits for the Sosa-Carrillo House Grand Re-Opening. Through her work at the Museum, she has gotten to know community members who have been involved in heritage and memory work in Tucson for many years and has had the privilege to hear their amazing stories.
