Shauna Fitzgerald is an aspiring archivist from Brooklyn, NY, currently pursuing an MLIS at CUNY Queens College. She has worked with a variety of collections, including those at Weeksville Heritage Center and the Woodman Family Foundation, gaining experience in archival preservation and arrangement. She is currently an intern at WFMU, the freeform radio station based in Jersey City, where she has been an avid listener for years. This experience has allowed her to combine her passion for music and local history. WFMU has also deepened her understanding of the rich resource that community archives offer in preserving audiovisual material often overlooked by mainstream organizations.
